Liberals who push for redistribution of wealth are headed for a sad awakening. When they discover that since most everyone in the western civilized world is wealthier than the great unwashed masses living in 3rd or 4th world countries, THEIR wealth is also being targeted to be stolen by Obama & the UN in the name of 'equality'.

The middle class (and to a lesser extent the workers and the poor) in the U.S. have been the beneficiaries of a global empire that has successfully looted everywhere/everyone. A great big party for us, over the last couple centuries! And continuing right up to the present moment, at which the rest of the world is still lending us $billions (i.e. giving us real good stuff in exchange for our dollars) EVERY DAY. But the rest of the world is starting to wake up. This dollar-based pillaging will not continue. They want their piece of the pie. Who can blame them?
PS: The U.N. will not be an important part of it. And Obama is of course just a puppet.
Can't completely disagree with you on issues raised in your post. But the question of 'reparations' is a tough one. How far back in time does one go to achieve some sort of parity or basis for this?
As far as it takes. Theft is theft. Murder is murder. Where's the statute of limitations? Should perps get a free pass after 10 years? 20? 50?
People in the United States have prospered by virtue of having had a democratic republic form of government with a Bill Of Rights, something other countries do not have. If we had not had this, I doubt if anyone other than those at the top in this country would have been able to amass what wealth the average American does possess.

Then, the capital wealth thus generated was devoted to building up an industrial base which was in turn applied to building a vast military (and non-military) structure to rule the world, and pillage ever-more wealth from everywhere. And it worked! We all got filthy rich. But not for much longer.
Also,(in my opinion) the world is controlled, in varying degrees, by corrupt despotic governments who are not likely to give the general populace much of anything more than a pittance that they might receive any redistribution of wealth. Look what happens to much of the US foreign aid even now; like pouring money down a rat hole.

For example: the Chinese government may be corrupt and despotic as you say, but they are busy supervising the creation of vast wealth which is indeed being enjoyed, in fair measure, by hundreds of millions of formerly desperately poor people. They know that you NEED a big middle class to grow a modern economy.
I do not think people outside the US are 'starting to wake up' so much as an ongoing consolidated effort by a select few who have aspirations of controlling the whole world are intensifying their propaganda efforts. The middle classes of the western civilized world are standing in their way.

Yes, people outside the U.S. certainly ARE waking up. They are making more money than ever, eating better, living better, and there is a relentless demand for MORE from them. They see the TV images that you see -- of fine cars, houses, etc., and they want it. And they will get it, just like you got it. The "select few who have aspirations of controlling the whole world" will give it to them, just like they gave it to you. They will be useful idiots, just as you were, and will not ask too many questions about where the goodies are coming from. Their loyalty will be bought, just as it was bought from you.
