There is also an Alpha and Omega of apostasy. Back in the 1800' in the church I belong to (SDA), there was a movement that was begun by a Dr. Kellogg (the famous creator of the Kellogg Cornflake cereals), and his movement was the epitome of "pantheism" which simply teaches that God is in EVERYTHING and EVERYONE. It was an insidious teaching that actually took away the consequences of what sin does in our lives. It was called the "Alpha apostasy" and was instrumental in creating a gigantic schism within our church at the time that went all the way to the top of "leadership". Today, we are seeing the "Omega" part of this apostasy that is manifesting itself in every church on earth. Today, it is not unusual to see various "religions" such as voodoo, Pentecostalism, paganism, meditational disciplines, and other "fringe" elements...standing on the same stage together in the name of "ecumenicism" and combining their "worship" of God which is in everything and everyone--regardless of doctrinal or personal belief.

Satan is seeking to do everything possible to lead people away from a plain "thus saith the Lord". The Scriptures play second fiddle to "experience" and feeling. Scripture, at least, can be discussed...and debated if necessary. These experiences and feeling cannot be moved by even the most plain utterances of the Holy Writ. Thank God the true Omega is coming soon. The world is literally falling apart and many are "running to and fro" to seek the Word of God and cannot find it. There is a famine in the land and few see it.

2 Timothy 3:1-5

But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.


2 Corinthians 11:13-15

For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.
