Face it people, the Federal and State Governments are broke and no matter how much you riot you'll be left out in the cold. They can tax all the rich at a 100% of their earnings but its not enough to keep the ball rolling. Spending must be massively cut. Its no longer a question. It simply has to be done. Its a big shit sandwich and everyone has to take a bite. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 29232836 He challenged the guy who sucker punched him to an MMA match tonight on Hannity. He said that people had put up $6000 as a reward for turning the guy in who assaulted him and that he would press assault charges and the guy would go to jail, but if the guy would agree to fight him in the ring 1 on 1 he wouldn't press charges. Whoever won would donate the money that had been put up to either a charity or a union, depending on who won. Apparently he's had some experience in the ring. |

I say we follow Obama's plan and do a little "speading the wealth around"! I figure, we can create 3 good paying positions with reasonable benefits (the kind of job that most folks would be happy taking) for every 1 union job we eliminate. I bet we could put America back to work pretty damn quick. |

Interviewed a truck driver in MI who said union employees were asked to take an 8% pay cut, which meant $200 per week for him. Figure out how much the salary was if 8% = $200. It was over $120,000 per year for driving a truck. Undeniably union wages are forcing jobs out of the country and forcing companies to fold in union states. Eventually all those jobs will migrate to the South or overseas, and the rustbelt will die. |

They just enjoy also legalized extortion. they are fools, they work for an extra dollar and their advisers work for hundreds of thousands plus perks taken from their pockets and untold value of owning the control of ignorant shoprats and manipulating the allegiance of thousands of fools that sold their integrity to get what they want so that the upper level of lawyers and their political buddies can help themselves to a backdoor stream of corrupt money and influence at the cost of the public.. Quoting: anonymouse 1545658 YUP THEY GOT TO YOU TOO False dilemma "A false dilemma (also called false dichotomy, the either-or fallacy, fallacy of false choice, black-and/or-white thinking, or the fallacy of exhaustive hypotheses) is a type of informal fallacy that involves a situation in which only two alternatives are considered, when in fact there is at least one additional option. The options may be a position that is between the two extremes (such as when there are shades of grey) or may be a completely different alternative." | waterlily User ID: 19961452 12/11/2012 10:47 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Right to Work is perhaps one of the most tragically ironic names for that legislation in the states it exists. What it essentially amounts to is Right to Fire employees who then have no legal recourse. I'm all for employers being able to fire employees, but there is absolutely no reason to then abridge the former employees' ability to appeal through the legal system. Quoting: TheMacaroni The state's unemployment insurance department, department of labor, whatever they call it, always has a recourse for an employee who is fired. Always. Employers do not like to fire employees because it increases the unemployment insurance rates they have to pay. Employers do ot like to fire employees because it can put them right in the line of litigation. Employers have to literally keep an dossier on an employee who is performing poorly, in whatever way, and warn them more than once, etc etc -- jump through all kinds of hoops to document the reasons why the employee was fired. Unless the employee does something really outrageous, like try to set the place on fire, that is. You guys think that the union is the only protection you have, but all employees have the protection of the state, union or not, and they don't pay a dime for it. Do you have any idea how much it costs to train a new employee? Or how long it takes to get a new employee into a truly productive mode? You act like all employers are just looking for excuses to fire employees. Go talk to an employer, and stop listening to your union's misrepresentations. *** WaterLily *** |
