I was in the UAW, and the IBEW. Believe me nobody worked hard. When I was working hard at both plants the shop stewards would pull me aside and told me to knock it off because I was making everyone else look bad. These ASSHOLES would sit in the parking lot during lunch time drinking beer and smoking weed, then come back to work all fucked up. You wonder why when you buy a car, and it turns out to be a lemon. I used to work down the road from a company where union workers were "fighting back". They had erected a small shanty town outside of the company. They had tents, barrels with wood so they could have a fire when it got cold, coolers everywhere stocked with tasty beverages and food, ginormous signs that had all sorts of obscene shit painted on them. It was interesting..this went on for two years, the "fighting back"..sitting on their asses all day every day bitching about going from $30 an hour down to $27 or so, sitting in tents in 2 degree weather just having a grand old time.

It was great when the company brought in their replacements. :)

Union workers are some of the laziest and greediest bunch of people I've ever come across.

i was in a union for 7yrs. all they did was raise the cost of dues, weren't there when i needed them, and negotiated for less. i got one raise of 12% over 5 yrs. unions only look out for themselves. i got out!!!
