About grounding out emf signals...

ok so i found out you can shield emfs by connecting a piece of aluminum to an aligator clip and connect the other side to the grounding prong on an electrical outlet. With that info I built a little emf free zone in my room using aluminum sheets to sleep in. Later on I saw a video on youtube explaining that just touching a piece of alumiinum that is grounded shields your whole body from emf. My question is: do I need to use thisbig emf shield thing or can I just sleep holding onto a piece of grounded aluminum to block emf.
