Revelations 16:19:

"The great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations collapsed. God remembered Babylon the Great and gave her the cup filled with the wine of the fury of his wrath."

And even after this happened, NY decided to split the city into 3 parts: Staten Island, Red Hook and Gowanus, and Lower Manhattan, for how they plan to try and prevent something like this from happening in the future.

Although it would appear that the Lady of Babylon is still drinking the dregs from the cup, if she's closed indefinitely, especially given that the entire island the statue was on flooded. Link to the news story about the new division of the city for upcoming disaster prevention:
