Yes, especially with a 1,000 bugdet. Take her on 2 night trip to a very nice upscale hotel w/ a hot tub in the room, schedule massages for both of you and take her to a play or to Circus de Solea.

Probably better for a dude who doesn't want to worry about being dumped. If the girl goes to town and does it better... as was said, most women think about it. Don't put it out there. Just sayin.

I have this book called Christmas Almanac...and some things they suggest as romantic gifts are framed poem, coupon for dinner out, ballroom dancing lessons, opera tickets, the weekend at B&B breakfast and Sonnets from the Portuguese by Elizabeth Barret Browning...if that sort of stuff is more up her alley.

Does she have any musical instrument interests? Maybe a ukulele or banjo or something? Sewing? A really good sewing machine? Nice Camera? ARt classes and supplies?

1)the BEST chef in your area from the most expensive restaurant and ask him/her if they could come in and cook dinner for the two of you a few times. I would think it would prob be around $400 or so each visit depending.

2)Contact a local business with a prominent Main ST store window and rent the window space and put up a big sign in it that says, Mr______ _______ wants everyone in town to know how much he loves his wife. You could also have her photo there.

Here is my first thought based on the things I've treasured most from men: Something made by you personally. A poem, a song written for her and played and sang by you if possible. A night out on the town to all her favorite places, something that takes a bit of thought. Also, maybe make her dinner and plan and a special "at home" evening. Something like that, was what first came to mind.

YES! I was going to say a day at a spa - massage and facial. Depends on your budget!

there is one here in toronto where they also have hot tubs with salt water in them---supposed to be very relaxing

then i would splurge for a weekend 'mini'trip somewhere nice, romantic and scenic nyny, niagara falls etc. somewhere not too far, but where you haven't been before.

Nope. But I just got a new awesome laptop! So I don't need to ask for one right now. LOL Plus my husband gets mad if I spend too much time playing games, and rightfully so I suppose since he'd rather we play together.

Ya know, it really, really, REALLY depends on what she's into.

I asked Santa for one of those really snazzy solar ovens, with all the drying racks and doodads.

I would pretty damn stoked for an awesome laptop too!



With that being said, you can never go wrong with jewelry. Have kids? Get everyones birthstone in a ring or necklace. There's usually a key piece of NICE jewelry a woman lacks. A fancy watch, diamond bracelet, a complete set of pearls.

Spa days are AWESOME. Find a pretty great spa, and ask for whole day treatments. Mani, pedi, body scrubs, massage. They will usually finish with hair and makeup, and you can take her for an expensive dinner after.

Photography session. I have a friend who does pin up/boudoir photos. Not the old school glamour shots *gag*, but someone who does true pin up pictures. She can even photoshop you thin, lol! Women are inherently narcissistic, we like to look GOOD, even if we won't admit it. I have yet to meet a woman who doesn't like the idea of getting hair and makeup done, photoshopped so we look like supermodels, and be able to frame/post/keep the more naughty pics for our hubbies. Even if that look isn't our every day reality, we like the idea that at some time it is.
