So I ordered a new PC and I'll be getting it Thursday. Here are the specs:
Azza Genesis 9000
I7 3770k 3.5 GHz cooled with an H100i
ASRock Z77 Extreme4 MoBo
Corsair CMPSU-750TXV2 PSU
16GB (8GBx2) DDR3/1866MHz Corsair Vengeance
AMD Radeon HD 7970 3GB
2TB SATA-III 7200RPM HDD
64GB SanDisk SATA III 6.0Gb/s SSD - 490 MB/s Read & 240 MB/s Write
I haven't got a new PC in a while and I spent the extra money to get a good one this time. I will be OCing it. I use it mainly for games and everyday use like GLP, movies, and all that.
My question is this the first SSD drive I've ever had. I've looked into them before but they were just too expensive and too small.
I decided to get one though mainly for the OS so everything runs a little quicker. My question is what else should I use it for. 64GB isn't big. With windows installed on it, it will only be smaller.
I'd like to use it for gaming so the games load quicker. Am I bascially going to have to move the game I want to play to the SSD and then back to the normal HD when I'm not playing it? I normally play multiple games at once. Is there an easier way to do this or am I just going to have to bite the bullet and get used to moving files back and forth between my SSD.
I've also heard that SSD's have short lifespans. If I use them heavily for games how long should I expect them to last? Should I backup windows on my normal HHD?
Any other comments on SSD's and how you use them would be appreciated. The speed looks awesome but the size is limiting me.
“Islam makes it incumbent on all adult males, provided they are not disabled and incapacitated, to prepare themselves for the conquest of [other] countries so that the writ of Islam is obeyed in every country in the world. But those who study Islamic Holy War will understand why Islam wants to conquer the whole world…. Those who know nothing of Islam pretend that Islam counsels against war. Those [who say this] are witless. Islam says: Kill all the unbelievers just as they would kill you all! Does this mean that Muslims should sit back until they are devoured by [the unbelievers]? Islam says: Kill them [the non-Muslims], put them to the sword and scatter [their armies]. Does this mean sitting back until [non-Muslims] overcome us? Islam says: Kill in the service of Allah those who may want to kill you! Does this mean that we should surrender to the enemy? Islam says: Whatever good there is exists thanks to the sword and in the shadow of the sword! People cannot be made obedient except with the sword! The sword is the key to Paradise, which can be opened only for Holy Warriors! There are hundreds of other [Koranic] verses and Hadiths [sayings of the Prophet] urging Muslims to value war and to fight. Does all that mean that Islam is a religion that prevents men from waging war? I spit upon those foolish souls who make such a claim.”
