Quoting: ftownballa "We've made a decision that the Syrian Opposition Coalition is now inclusive enough, is reflective and representative enough of the Syrian population that we consider them the legitimate representative of the Syrian people in opposition to the Assad regime," Obama said. [link to abcnews.go.com] Now that Obama recognizes the opposition, intervention will be right around the corner. This is what was holding everything up, the west wanted to make sure that they have someone to put in Assad's place untill some kind of puppet can be put in. Wheels are in motion now. Pffft. So he's "recognizing" a bunch of doomed terrorists being chased by the entire Syrian army and Iranian special forces. It changes nothing whatsoever. Give it 3-5 months, you'll never hear of these "rebels" again. |
