Quoting: Anonymous Coward 29591931 Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. They aren't exactly expecting the same results... YOU ARE! They know exactly what is going to happen. They just tell you (the sheeple) that they believe in different results and you (the sheeple) believe them and in turn expect different results. The ones who are really crazy are the ones letting them get away with this BS for so long, 100 years now. |

AdHocBOHICA User ID: 19723065 United States 12/11/2012 08:56 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The Federal Reserve will amplify record accommodation tomorrow by announcing $45 billion in monthly Treasury buying that will push its balance sheet almost to $4 trillion, according to a Bloomberg survey of economists. Quoting: waht Forty-eight of 49 economists predict the Federal Open Market Committee will purchase Treasurys to bolster an existing program to buy $40 billion in mortgage bonds each month. The panel pledged in October to continue that plan until the labor market improves "substantially." "It's going to be massive and open-ended in size," said Joseph LaVorgna, chief U.S. economist at Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. in New York and a former New York Fed economist. Chairman Ben S. Bernanke and his FOMC colleagues will press on with purchases at least through the first quarter of 2014, according to the median estimate in the Dec. 7-10 survey. They are expanding the balance sheet beyond $2.86 trillion in a bid to spur growth and lower an unemployment rate of 7.7 percent. "They view this stimulus as what's needed to sustain the economy" and reinforce improvements in industries such as autos and housing, said John Silvia, chief economist at Wells Fargo & Co., the biggest U.S. home lender. Quoting: Saddletramp So, 4 years running of ZIRP, and 3 continuous QE programs which have nothing but lifted the stock market to highs shy of 2008 are not indicative that the economy is in dire trouble? Oh wait, they laundered trillions in fraudulent mortgages for the biggest banks during that time so I guess all is not lost. All of that, and yet we are still running depression type numbers in poverty and real unemployment... But hey, that stock market is looking good... Why is this not even in the news? Gawd, will guys get off this! There is no 99-year charter to renew. THAT's why no one is talking about it. The FR was created by an Act of Congress in 1913. It initially had a 20-year charter. In the late 20s, another Act of Congress extended the charter "in perpetuity." So, until another Act of Congress dissolves it, The Fed goes on. I repeat. THERE IS NO 99-YEAR CHARTER TO RENEW. Sheesh. |

Refinance peoples personal debt to the 0.25% interest rate that Wall Street banks pay for money. Quoting: Fred 29293291 This makes too much sense. It's the rich get richer game, not the we should fix our mess one. I know there are a lot of hard working people that earned everything they got, but the one's in charge do not fit in this category. At the rate the Fed is hitting control+p we will all be billionaires soon. Welcome to the Banana Republic of the United States. ----------------------------------------------------------- Wonder how many more of my fellow Americans are going to be sucking on the Gov. tit after this?
