I am about to purchase a rifle this month and the gun store owner said DON'T GET AN AR-15. THEY ARE TOO TEMPERAMENTAL. THEY JAM WAYY TOO FAST. AN AR-15 WIll never make it thru 10,000 rounds without jamming. BUT..An AK-47 will. I'm Just glad this NUT JOB didn't talk to my guy. Just saying.  |

I spent a number of years in the U.S. Army and was trained with the M-16, (the fully-auto selectable version of the AR-15). I remember the first day on the range in basic, the Drill Sergeant was just walking up and down the ranks clearing jammed weapons as the platoon shot from the prone position. The AK-47... you can drop this thing in a mud puddle, bury it in sand, pound nails with it, open a can of beans for supper, throw a mag in it and put one through a bullseye at 50 meters every time.
