People intent on killing others randomly are going to find a way to do it...most times it's with a gun, but regardless, they will find a way. If someone in that mall was packing heat there's a good chance that those people might still be alive right now.

The old adage is true, guns DON'T kill people....fucked up psychos and people off their meds kill people (usually with guns, but that's semantics). A gun is a tool, like any other, the REAL danger is the intent of the user.
