Was the story of Noah's Ark true? Archaeologist who found the Titanic claims Biblical flood DID happen 12,000 years ago

There's lots of evidence world wide that the sea levels have been much higher in pre-historical times. It could very well be that the stories in the bible were derived from legends from long ago.

Irish skin divers recently went down to the wreck of the Titanic. They were amazed to see that after 100 years on the bottom of the ocean, the swimming pool on the Titanic was still full!!!

I have no choice but to post this video in this thread...

My last post was just for laughs. This one points out just how illogical the "great flood" really is. Not to mention Noah's ark and the pure lunacy of loading two of every animal on the planet onto a ship.

Did not watch the video, just wanted to question why fish would be on the list of animals that need saving from a flood.

I imagine since none of us were there at that time that we need to rely on science to definitly confirm this fact. There have been floods, earthquakes, volcanos, tsunamis etc...thru out time and these will continue as we live with Mother Nature.....

Cause if there was a global flood most of the fish would die due to the lack of or increase of salt in the water, never mind all the mud and rocks and drastic shifts in temperature.

They are not. However the author takes the assumption that all the animals on the ark are the same size and that the level of the water 0000's of years ago should be still around today. That made no sense to me.

Salty water makes up around 97% of our water on the earth. Just saying.

Do you not understand simple math? That screen shot was the part of the video where the number of species of animals was calculated. Water based species were being subtracted from the total number to come up with the number of animals Noah would have had to load onto the mythical ark. 1,000,000 species of animals was a VERY conservative number to.

He then goes on to describe mathematicaly what it would take for Noah to load all these animals onto the ark in the time span described in the bible.

Seriously, anyone that believes in the "great flood" and Noah's ark is just plain batshit crazy. If you want to believe in a supernatural "creator", fine, whatever. But at some point you have to admit that the bible and it's stories were made up by men who had no understanding of science, math, and logical reasoning. They had no understanding of the true nature of the world. They thought the world was flat for fuck's sake!

The Sumerian account of the flood, which is in the Epic of Gilgamesh says that Noah(Utnapistam in the Sumerian) saved "the seed of all life". The writers of the old testament copies the account but didn't understand that and simply said "animals" were saved. The Sumerian account predates the old testament by at least 1000 years. Obviously, it is easy to save the DNA of all life, and we are trying to do that in seed vaults. Just more evidence the Sumerians were in touch with high level science from somewhere.

It amazes me the lengths some people will go to hold on to their superstitious beliefs.

The bible was written by men who wanted to control the "sheep" with fear. All bibles have served that purpose.

Its not hard to imagine that some ignorant ancient people had a big ass rain storm and an area flooded, of course these ancient morons thought every weather event was "god related" and quickly sacrifice some virgins to appease them.

It rained 10" in less than an hour in Palm beach last night flooding everything. If we were ancient people we probably would have thought is was an angry god and immediately rounded up the virgins...but we aren't ignorant ancient people.

I thought the common theme was at the height of the ice-age the ocean levels were down some 450 ft. There should be all sorts of floods. When did the Me Sea get flooded by the salty Atlantic Ocean? Since the winters in North America cover about the same area that the ice-age covered that same weather pattern should be duplicated, The same green belt that that is south of the snow moves south and it is the desert lands that get taken over by the green (moisture that plants like).

The Bibles flood was 22ft of rain on the land and that is 5ft of water when put into the ocean. The version also says the rain that fell on the high hills and mountains or 22ft of rain that stayed there for 5 months meaning that is the level that freezing temps came down to and then it took the set of a full year for the water to make it to the ocean.

There is also the ancient seas that once covered places that are now 2,000 ft above the ocean level. The best solution I have seen is the growing earth model where the oceans of today hold the same water as but is the 200M years wind back that water was squeezed up onto the land and ended up as being the shallow sea in Alberta that far back. As the oceans rifts spread it created a hole of the water to drain into making it appear the the land was being pushed upwards.
