I thought the common theme was at the height of the ice-age the ocean levels were down some 450 ft. There should be all sorts of floods. When did the Me Sea get flooded by the salty Atlantic Ocean? Since the winters in North America cover about the same area that the ice-age covered that same weather pattern should be duplicated, The same green belt that that is south of the snow moves south and it is the desert lands that get taken over by the green (moisture that plants like).
