9:28pm here in north Texas... is it visible yet? When does it cross in front of the moon?

I can see the view from Clay Center but wanted to hear the commentary from the dudes at Slooh. Ah well.

I got to see the "little white dot". I'm satisfied, for now.

Amazing how perspective and distance can really change something from super scary to extremely benign. If this guy was as close as Apophis is suppose to get next pass, I'd be singing a different song.

That touched me cuz all this time I couldn't quite articulate to others in my life why I had to view the "white dots" or "white streaks".

Like I go into work tomorrow and say "Hey I saw a 4.3 mile asteroid in real time soaring through space right next to us" "Then if flew by and I watched in enter another solar system". That's classic.

I am sorry, but I think the link to that youtube video in the first link was terrible. It was very boring. And for what its worth I have very low standards. I ate lunch at a Roach Coach today. That is how low my standards are. And that link, it was just very boring.

I watched during it's first pass on Tuesday. It was pretty cool. You could see the star streaks as the scope was tracking the asteroid. That thing had to be moving along at a pretty good clip I mean, I know it was only a white dot, but to be able to "see" something like this in real time is just so cool!
