Quoting: Anonymous Coward 28512090 That just goes to show how little you know about music and how little class you have about you. Ravi Shankar played a totally different type of music and was a star several years before Bob Marley was ever heard of on the world scene. Bob Marley didn't form a band (The Teenagers with Peter Tosh) till 1963. Ravi Shankar began studying Indian classical music in 1938 and became internationally known in 1956. Show some respect where it's due. The noise he put out sucked ass. Mind fucking confusion, basically satanic gabbage. Like your momma sucks ass for quarters. Your little mind just couldn't comprehend his music. And you spelled garbage wrong, you idiot, so how smart could you really be? |

When I was a kid, I remember watching a documentary on tigers in India. After learning that the instrument heard throughout the program was a sitar, I looked into it more and came across Ravi Shankar. I got some of his music and loved it ever since. May he RIP |

Born in Various, he spent his youth touring Europe with the Herman and Adolf Dunce Group, 1939 Poland, 1940 Norway, France and Belgium, 1942 Russia, although his tours of England in 1940 and the USA in 1941 had to be cancelled. He gave up duncing in 1945 to study the toilet-sitar with court musician, Khan Get-up. In 1960, he drew the attention of Keith Best, the drop out Beetle and toured for many years with his Piss Tour in order to promote World Piss and other crazy leftwing New Age bunk. In his time, he was awarded three Grumpy Awards and was nominated as a member of the upper chamber of the Syrian Parliament. |

The laid back, peacefully flowing attitude of the 3 musicians seated on the big pile of sumptuous pillows was periodically interrupted with a sudden acceleration of tempo and a furious flurry of jangling, buzzing pull-offs, hammer-ons, and some serious note bendings, accompanied by the two fellows on either side of him desperately trying to keep up on their single drums...lol By the way, 812971, what is gabbage? |

Indian sitar music is so wonderfully complex yet sublime. The world has lost a true artist. If you get a chance pick up "Live at Monterrey" truly transcendentalizing. “Quite an experience to live in fear, isn't it? That's what it is to be a slave.” "Hello, I need a replacement filter for a Hoover Max Extract 60 Pressure Pro." “You actually slaughter each other over affairs of the spirit.” Da’an Earth-Final Conflict |

Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living. ~ Life is about choices, you get to make them each and every day of your life. ~ Capitalization is the difference between helping your Uncle Jack off a horse and helping your uncle jack off a horse.~ Only in America... do we use the word 'politics' to describe the process so well: 'Poloi' in Greek meaning 'many' and 'tics' meaning 'bloodsucking creatures'.~ “When a government is dependent for money upon the bankers, they and not the government leaders control the nation. This is because the hand that gives is above the hand that takes.
