He says "our" money, as if the fact that he lives in the United States, a country that imports oil from Saudi Arabia, means the tower being built has anything to do with him....

A lot depends on what happens in the next 100 years, something we ALL speculate on, but none of us really know...


The same could be said for anything being built in the US. What good is it, when our country is bankrupt, and our economy might very likely collapse in the next few years....


If the US economy collapses, then much of the Western world will be hit too. Much of the western world's economy is tied directly to the US economy. Much of the ENTIRE WORLDS economy is, but the western world more so.

If we all fall, who knows how appealing Saudia Arabia might be in the next decade. Sure, oil is what makes them the big bucks right now.... but things can change in the blink of an eye. If they have a higher standard of living then we do, if a collapse happens, all of a sudden their dollar might be worth far more than ours. It might be stable over there, in turn causing more people to invest there, in turn causing their economy to bloom, etc.

Arabia is doing a lot of this in the ocean, because theyare coming to the end of their oil, and thus are now dumping their entire wealth into the tourist trade. In other words:
"Putting all their eggs in one (dumb) basket"
