Robot "race" to fix Fukushima disaster
I found this December 12 around 4:00 AM and it was 16 hours old as of then.

Basically, they are figuring out how to make Radiation resistant robots that can fix the reactors and clean up.

Kind of interesting.

The robots sure are in full swing as of late.

They tried it at Chernobyl and they died pretty quickly.

Not radiation resistant tho.

My idea was to drop a dome on fukushima coated in starlite, and blow it up with a tactical nuke.

I thought the title with the bit about a "robot race" was humorous also.

Has seemed to me from the beginning to be the only logical answer. The problem, I think, stems from the risk of generating a large tsunami as a result of the detonation. The plant is right on the coast.

So the radiation melts the robots?

1dunno1 I don't know whether they physically melt, but they are rendered useless in a short time.
