LOUD SOUNDS & LIGHT FLASHES IN SKY IN NC

its the end

I KEPT HEARING A LOUD LIKE BOOM SOUND SO I WENT ON MY FRONT PORCH AND CALLED MY NEIGHBOR WHO HEARD TO AND AFTER EACH BOOM THERE WAS A FLASH OF LIGHT LIKE LIGHTNING! ANYONE ELSE IN NC HEAR OR SEE THIS. HAPPENED ABOUT 10 TIMES.

Might help if you say WHERE in NC. It is a BIG state!

Not thunder, sorry I have lived to long and know what thunder sounds like. This was not thunder! Loud boom minutes apart then immediate light flash!

I live oin NC but not in the western part but I heard nothing other then the normal booms from fayetteville. Makes me feel sorry for the people living in Fayetteville and having to hear the army blowing crap up all night long every night.

I heard loud booms but i live near ft. Bragg and i hear loud booms all the time they must be getting ready for war.

I live in Michigan. People heard loud booms in Flint so far, as you were describing. A friend on facebook posted that her house was shaking when the 'booms' would happen. Happened at around 11 o'clock am. Police and etc don't know what the noises are coming from yet, but I will post again if I find anything out

It could have been a largish chunk of Geminid meteor exploding in an air burst w/ sonic boom shock waves. Tomorrow nite is supposed to be the peak of the meteor shower, with a new moon, so hope for clear skys. Best time to view the show supposed to be between midnight & 2-3am, so take yourself a nap in the early evening...

I saw what appeared to be a fire ball Thanksgiving night in Boone. I dismissed it at the time, but who knows?

I was in the army there in the 80's.We called it fayettenam.
