Eventually the EBT crowd will be killed outright or will slowly starve to death. This government will not waste scarce resources on them in the future.....

However, you have to remember two things; 1, the government is paying them to remain in a poor "status", 2, the government needs them to remain poor to help fund other people and projects. That $200 a week (as an example to the poor) could probably balloon out to easily $5k in benefits and aid to companies and organizations helping the poor and administrative fees.
