Top secret Spaceplane X-37B sets off on another mission

I wonder what the plane is for.

Question is whether or not this re-entry will be successful or not, as this is the second flight for this craft. The X-37B is designed to be a reusable space-craft. The tiles used for re-entry are similar to the ones that had been used on the "Space Shuttle" -- a name that perhaps needs to be revamped -- and there are reasonable concerns if there will be any problems on re-entry.

SEEMS awfully close to the NK launch, maybe we blast their satalite out of the sky LOL

Ed Dames and his remote viewing crew gave two markers that would happen just before the Killshot. The first was the launch of a North Korean missile, which happened yesterday. The second was a space shuttle being forced to land due to a meteor shower. The X-37B was launched today (looks very similar to a shuttle, only smaller). If this thing is forced down by a meteor shower (and one is predicted for Dec 13-14) then the Killshot is imminent!

The centaur stage would burn up in the atmosphere a short time later, having used its retroburn to put it on a course for re-entry, while the X-37B is now in a circular orbit.

That's really interesting. Thanks, Astro! Any idea why the military is interested in this? The only things I can think of are being able to keep automated drones in orbit at any given time to shoot down long range missles or deliver payloads in the field.

You do realize that our submarines are fully capable of lobbing things into space from pretty much anywhere, right? I mean, even star trek made a movie about an ICBM that was modified to be a spaceship.

this is primitive to what theyve got. ive seen a massive black and orange v shaped craft which could shoot across the sky in an instance .... well i hope its theirs!

$347 billion dollars for the launch pad, another $50-100 million per ICBM, and lord knows how many billions of dollars R&D costs...

You don't know what the program does on a daily basis, yet you know about the program. If it WERE top-secret, you wouldn't even know about the program in the first place.

It's not really possible to hide things in orbit.

Even the stealthy satellites are often spotted, and there orbital parameters published by amateurs.
