What a SCAM Obama care is... saying it will be cheaper... Yea right..... Really we are 60 so we must pay for 5 more years... before we qualify for Medicare. I am sure not many 60 year olds have the income that we have to pay... what will they do???? My husband is retired... and this is his RETIREMENT FAMILY RATE... can you imagine. I think they are raising it higher to see if some will DROP the policy. This is a LOT of money. Get ready. Quoting: N3m3s1s To the Moon! This is so sad. I looked at what my kids will pay and it is sad. These people will throttle back a little bit here to a level which people will accept, for example, they now want to postpone the medical devices tax because companies are laying off so many people. Hopefully the fiscal cliff causes outright opposition. |

Ours went up $46 per month 2 months ago in anticipation of O care expenses. We're thinking it will go up again after the first of the year, for a total close to what you are paying and this from a private union. In the US now, you have to make more than 60K per year in order to be getting close to the same benefits that welfare recipients get. Of course if you make more than 250k per year, you'll get super raped when you pay taxes. People I know who are working for unions are having a hard time paying for their insurance NOW. I truly think the plan is to bring the middle class to its knees, forcing a civil event between the so called 'haves', who are super raped by the system, and the so called 'have not', who are coddled by that same system. It looks inevitable now. Forward! |

Had a discussion with the cashier at the grocery store over the weekend who told me the insurance at that job was AWESOME, and you only needed to average 20 hours a week to get it. So I think her job probably sucked pay wise but still insured. So I wonder if this is the future, be poor and work for health insurance instead of decent pay? |

Allowing the insurance companies and government to conflate the two in our minds and daily experiences is a huge part of the problem here. |

How much do you go to the Dr.? Maybe Insurance would get the message if we all started putting that $1360 a month into our own savings account, drawing the interest and then just paying for your Dr. Appt out of that. How many times a month do y'all actually go to the Dr.? How much do you spend in prescriptions? Sit down and figure it out. For eye insurance, My husbands company wanted us to pay about $90 a month. Your Health Insurance usually covers an annual eye exam. So we quit getting the eye coverage and pay for my daughters contact lenses out of pocket and save about $720 a year with that. |

Health CARE, you care for yourself by getting educated and being healthy. Health INSURANCE, you have a corporation and mind controlled people with degrees insuring you pay up and are a lifelong "client." And believe me, once they stick their needles in you, you will need "THEIR INSURANCE PLAN." If you cannot read between the lines, then why don't you get a swine flu shot and the other 25 vaccinations kids now get that you didn't when you were younger so THEIR INSURANCE insures you stay on the plan. If a majority of the healthcare system was not a scam or BS, I would participate in it. But I have done my research along with my own experiences to know exactly what it is. It is not really for our protection or health. Quite the opposite. It is a for profit industry which places profits before people. This is where evil overrides good in ANY industry. Yes, there is A LOT of good in it and many people do get healthy, but when you place profits before people, you have crossed the line. Maybe Obama Care will be different, I AM not sure but right now it is one of the most corrupt and evil industries in the world. What you also fail to realize is that you don't really own anything. This is where your thinking has went awry. We die with skin and bones that become dust. A home is shelter to live in. People get sick over 60 from lack of proper health care which 9 times out of 10 is due to the food they eat or poisons they have put in their body. But I do understand why you would want or need it at this age. You are caught between a rock and a hard place. One issue could wipe you out if you don't claim bankruptcy to protect your home. I am I am I am... I have not taken anything since I was 18. Quoting: Arial721 But when you hit 60... you think about these things more. That sounded bad but reading on, a family of four would have had to pay $66,000. We made different arrangements. |
