Amazing that it's taken 21 months for old information to come to light.

Here are some early articles, starting right after the tsumani:

Reactor breach worsens prospects

Reports indicate breach in Japanese nuclear reactor containment vessel
30 March 2011
[link to www.wsws.org]

"The discovery of highly radioactive water in areas outside reactor containment buildings at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear facility may be due to one or more breaches of the protection vessels...

... “While we don’t know exactly the relationship between the need to inject water to cool [the reactor core] and the outflow of water, we have reduced the amount of injected water to a minimum given the reactor number 2’s tendency to spew highly radioactive water.”"

chuckle Good point EM. rose

Highly illustrative of the effectiveness of the dis-info campaign, wouldn't you say..?
My efforts have been quite feeble, in retrospective comparison..
It is what it is.

"Tokyo Electric Power Co. said it was unable to identify the source of the leak when the robot inspected one of the eight vent pipes that connect the chamber with the containment vessel on Dec. 11."

and.... a robot inspected it! Wow... Fukushima is one of my biggest fears since I'm in So. Calif.

One might wonder WHY TPTB are releasing this as new info now. Is something going on there since the recent EQs? Are they thinking of making the EQ scapegoats for the orginal breech??????

methinks something about this is fishy...

I think you misunderstand something here,
Tepco and we all (People who are concerned)
knew that there is Water
but we didn't know for sure where it came from.

Now Tepco send a Robot to check some Valves
which are maybe "leaking"!

"The first one of Eight" is not (leaking)

Asahi Shinbun reported this very well
but you need to read the Original Article
to understand it!

The Pseudo-Scientific Blog-o-Sphere missed this point
because they are not Journalists and not Scientist!

To say something you need a Proof,
without a Proof it is invalid!

Fukushima isn't just located by the sea. It sits on the edge of a 20,000 foot cliff to the bottom of one of the biggest geologically active faults in the world. At some point, the whole thing is going into the ocean.
 Quoting: Resister

This is also not true,
the big Rift is 200-300 Km away on the east
Side!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 29256427

Geologically that is pretty darn close to an ocean that has already flooded the facility and quakes that have already caused intruding sea water to bubble up from the ground in places along the coast.

[link to www.youtube.com]
 Quoting: Resister

All those places where that happened was on reclaimed land
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 25192764

Yes, I do know that. Doesn't change the fact that the reactor is sitting right on the coast, directly in the path of any Tsunami and or coastal land slide that that 20,000 foot deep plate techtonic trench decides to throw at it.

Yes it has been there relatively safe for about 40 years. So what? The material stuck inside of that wrecked power plant can not be moved and will still be radio active well after all of us are dead and gone. It will be there for a very long time. Long enough at some point for it and the coast line to be effected by that massive fault line in a major way.
"God forbid we should ever be 20 years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, & always, well informed... If they remain quiet under such misconceptions it is a lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty... Let them take arms... What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants. " - Thomas Jefferson in 1787

That is bogus dis-info, IMO.
Smokescreen.

As corrupt as the industry is.. I don't think they'd have
been allowed to withhold an effective response
merely because of the cost.

What makes the most sense to me is that it can't be
done effectively.. hence, the japanese are left to their
own methods... further obscuring the truth of the matter.

I could be wrong..
It could be a mass-depopulation event that:

1- fell right into their laps...
2- was caused by unknown manipulation...
3- is simply bad mojo karma for us all

If it were a reality TV show... no one would believe it.

in fact it would be the cheapest solution!

there is no Benefit in it to use a even bigger Containment!

Off topic but... if there ever is a pole shift obviously there will be massive amounts of death because of the event itself but with all of the nuclear power plants all over the planet, wouldn't it be safe to assume that any survivers of the pole shift would just die from radiation exposure? Surely a pole shift would be the death of us all. There is no survival for annyone if ever a pole shift happens. What say you?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1566391

Yep.

Who would want to survive..?
 Quoting: Waterbug

Me.

Let's say you have a house that you rent out to somebody... and the renters start to ruin your house... what would you do? You would evict the ones ruining your house. There's nothing wrong with the house. Humans have been poor tenants. What is more, they are ruining the earth not only literally by means of pollution, deforestation, and exploitation but also morally and spiritually through violence, bloodshed, and sexual immorality.

Earth was created for a purpose:
For this is what Jehovah has said, the Creator of the heavens, He the [true] God, the Former of the earth and the Maker of it, He the One who firmly established it, who did not create it simply for nothing, who formed it even to be inhabited: I am Jehovah, and there is no one else. (Isa 45:18)

So, do you really think we (humans) can interfere with that purpose?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1447032

Without getting into a whole religious thang...
I meant... 'Who would want to survive in this earthly form.?'

I don't buy into the 'vengeful God' theme.
I think we do this to ourselves.
The depths of depravity that mankind has achieved speaks for itself.

We are talking about blatant industrial and corporate greed, with total disregard concerning the welfare and health of the planet, or of its denizens.
 Quoting: Waterbug

(I meant "you" as in the general population :P)

Kuddos for not buying into that. Unfortunately, many have allowed themselves to be pursuaded in that vein. Which is why these see no hope for the earth. Which is why I merely offered a perspective that they may not have considered.

I couldn't agree more: you have nailed it as far as two of the main issues - human greed and total disregard for God's creation.

Both will soon be a thing of the past.

How could anyone who has seen the aerial photos of the damage possibly believe that these reactors are in any way in containment. To the contrary, they are simply wide open festering wounds, which could have mountains of boron and sand dumped on top of them. (although SFP 4 needs to have it's rods removed.)

There is nothing that will stop pollution of the water except to stop pouring more water into it, and that can only be done by cutting the cord and capping it tight.

Asahi: Tepco can’t find where huge amount of highly radioactive water is leaking at Reactor No. 2 — ‘Fractures’ in containment vessel suspected

The operator of the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant is grappling to locate the source of a leak of highly radioactive water in the crippled No. 2 reactor [...]

A remote-controlled robot is now scouring the basement of the reactor building [...]

TEPCO suspects the radioactive water is leaking from fractures near the pressure suppression chamber [lower part of containment vessel].

It was the first detailed inspection near the chamber. [...]

A huge volume of highly radioactive water, used to cool down the fuel, has since been leaking from the reactor, TEPCO said.

You just saw the Building itself but not the Containment!

When there is no Containment you would not see "leaking Water"
and you would not see Pressure inside of the Containment!

Also the cooling cycle would loose/ lose (?)
some/ more Water but this is not happening!

You may not be able to protect the water (except to stop pouring more water on it, but the biggest (unnecessary) threat to land based creatures is the vapors that are still continuously being released into the atmosphere by corium, even when it is very deep, and so much more so when it creates steam.

This airborne element which is the greatest threat to the planet of the two (air/water), could be effectively filtered out if the vent were covered with a mountain of material.
