Have you come across a person who may be a true psychopath....
What would you do if you did?

This person is would not be an emotional manipulator . His manipulations use all tools, and are hidden.

He may or may not be dangerous at this time. He would be a true psychopath, not made, somehow formed.

He still has a high prestige career, and living the high life, leaving broken lives behind him.

If you were aware and he wasn't yet, could you use his tricks against him?

I worry what will happen if a true psychopath knows how 'special' he really is. How would he twist this, in how he views himself, how he communicates with others?

Try the US TV series "Damages", featuring that Oz hotty Rose Byrne. Glenn Close has the psychopath thing going on.

Can you describe what it means to be a psychopath?

It seems many people have different descriptions.

You can tell a psychopath by the victims left behind. There is no definite description to explain them. I can tell you how he behaves with people, I could tell you what exactly I think is off about him, I could also tell you how he controls people. A psychopath never lets go off a victim once he gets them. He has them for life.

No, when you see a psychopath you realise how 'special' they really are. Damaged little boys and girls going around acting like psychopaths, are not true psychopaths.

I went to school with one ... there was always something off about him, when he got older he became an arsonist and then graduated to a murderer
He ended up dying in prison but scary scary stuff especially when I think about the last time I saw him he had already killed a girl and nobody knew it yet.

Glibness and Superficial Charm, Manipulative and Conning
They never recognize the rights of others and see their self-serving behaviors as permissible.

Grandiose Sense of Self, they feel entitled to certain things as "their right." Pathological Lying and they have no problem lying coolly and easily. Very convincing and they can even pass lie detectors.

Lack of Remorse, Shame or Guilt an a deep seated rage, which is split off and repressed, is at their core.

Shallow Emotions show what seems to be warmth, joy, love and compassion it is more feigned than experienced and serves an ulterior motive. Outraged by insignificant matters, yet remaining unmoved and cold by what would upset a normal person. Since they are not genuine, neither are their promises.

Incapacity for Love, but needs stimulation and
living on the edge, verbal outbursts and physical punishments are normal. Promiscuity and gambling are common.

Those are terribly qualities to have to deal within a person. Get out fast before you become a victim. If you are already trapped watch your back. Instead of friends, they have victims an accomplices who end up as victims. The end always justifies the means and they let nothing stand in their way.

Sounds like a little turd who needs a kick in the pants.

An example, a parent disciplines a child, normal child says sorry, a born psychopath will look at loop holes in the parents disciplining style, maybe a weakness. Maybe they work out that they're parent is easily distracted, something, a weakness. Instead of bringing it to the attention of the parent, the child will start abusing the loop hole.

For example, I will tell my son that he must turn all electronics off in 20 minutes. 1 hour later my son will come out and tell me his DVD's finished and can he put another one on. Did my son not listen to me, when I told him I want electronics off? He may be tired. But a child with psychopathic traits, may have noticed that I am easily distracted, can see why I am distracted, and will work that in to getting his own way.

A child works out the power level in a house easily. If he has siblings, he will be the centre of all the bullshit, but instead of fighting and screaming with his brothers, he will be the one holding the parent.
