Nirvana is the only band from the 90's that made a big impact. I'll give you that one.
Check out the 80's: Prince, U2, Billy Idol, Depeche Mode, Pink Floyd, Michael Jackson..ok I liked the more new wave-alternative stuff, but there was lot's of rock too.

Oh yeah, remember Cruising? Every big town had it's street. Saturday night everyone jumped in a friend's car and "Cruised" until the address of a party tore you away from the strip.

Coke still tasted good, there was a 7-11 on every corner.

Absolutely..stuff was so much different back then. We would bounce around from spot to spot. On occasion, get into fights where only fists were involved. Not wannabe gangsters. Then laugh about it afterward, smoke a bowl, drink a beer and then grab the keg and take off when the cops came.
