I was born in 81, i got a taste of the 80s as a young kid. But never went to a concert. I actually didn't go to one until i was 19. But no fault of my own, i lived over seas military brat, and most places i lived didn't have that sort of thing.

my pops told me how back in the 70s, the cops if you got stopped with a beer in the car, or drunk. They would just impound your car at worst, and throw you in jail overnight. No DUI law yet or 3 strikes your in prison shit.

My friends and I used to go to this annual Island party on Lake of the Woods (Kenora, Ontario) back in the day, it was called the "Smoke and Fish Derby" on Scotty's Island. It was so much fun.

You won a big bag of weed for catching the biggest fish! Plus they'd have pretty big bands come out and play for it such as harlequin and Streetheart. It was a weekend long.
