No such thing as bad press. Keeps the name JESUS up in lights at the centre of the known universe (Times Square in NYC). I used to be an atheist of this same ilk, and now I'm born again. Some of the most outspoken atheists are on the same path I was, and they'll likely also be born again, hopefully sooner than later.

Don't get mad -- pray for them. That's what Jesus told us to do. That's what my grandmother did for me for 36 years. Her prayers finally kicked in shortly before she died. She lived just long enough to see what everyone else (myself included) never in a million years would have thought possible -- me becoming a Christian.

I think it's wonderful when atheists speak out about Jesus. At least someone's keeping the name that's above all name on people's minds (Christians aren't that good about it these days) and it gives us clear-cut prayer targets. So, I see this atheist ad as win-win!

Jesus warned us we'd be hated and persecuted, but he also told us not to gripe about it because we, through God's spirit, have overcome the world. It's all good!

Nor were you a Pagan. Most all pagan religions were wiped out centuries ago by Men with swords and more recently guns, who forcefully converted them to Christianity.

The only Reason the christian religion is so large today is because they went about converting all the known world by force for hundreds of years.

I have a Masters Degree in History among other
studies. Pagan is a general word. The Roman
Saturnalia was a multi-week feast of 2 weeks
at the Winter Solstice. Christmas became the
Roman State holiday when Christianity became
the official religion of the Emperor. The Church
allows its faithful to incorporate some
of their former traditions such as Yule, etc
and they are different in different places.
The way "we" celebrate Christmas today is commercial
because capitalism and industrialists influenced
society starting in the later 1800s. That goes
for many other holidays and way of life, not just
Christmas.
Also, it's the Epiphany which is more popular around
the world as the day to exchange gifts, as that was
the day the Wise Men gave their gifts to Emmanuel.

Doesn't matter either way, religion is just a form of mind control. People following the blind beliefs of another, holding onto something they can't prove to exist or not.

It seems so much easier to blame all your sins on someone else and then believe that a god will forgive you and let you into heaven.

Religions brings hate and hypocrites. The bible says not to judge people, yet Christians are the first to judge another for not believing in the Christians beliefs.

To me it's just one person trying to get another to believe that their god is more real then the next.
