Why must our souls be shards, is it a dirty trick or lesson or a test? Our free will is nearly begotten. |

You older folks on top, 50-60 and such, is where you start reflecting on life on all aspects big time. It's like you've woken up now after all these experiences you've been thru. And for the younger crowd, it shows the new type of people incarnating on the planet now, how they are more conscious, intelligent, and aware. This is good love you GLPers |

Just notice a shit load of threads that were likely written by a 15 year old and got curious who (age wise) is on here. No need to get all pissy. I,m 35. That's how they define "reality". But what does it mean to be "correct" or "true"? Merely vague concepts ... their "reality" may all be a mirage. Can we consider them to simply be living in their own world, shaped by their beliefs?" "People cling to all they know and understand. But understanding and knowledge are ambiguous. | my2centsworth User ID: 5382682 12/12/2012 07:51 PM ![]() Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm 58, and have lived the life preppers are so anxious to live for 8 years; no power, no running water, and a house build by us in the bush from wood cut by us, while raising 2 kids .... I hope you know what kind of hard work lies ahead of you, should you ever need to live like that. Better learn to grow, harvest and can your food.. no fridge, no freezer and no electric stove! and you will have to do your canning in the heat of the summer on a wood stove.. better have lots of chopped wood on hand, because then winter is just around the corner and you’ll need that wood to stay warm. We had a hand pump to get our water from, so no shortage of water, but a shower, well that will be a thing of the past. Carrying 5 gallon pails of water will be the norm, cuz you'll need it to clean and bath.... Laundry, is a chore and a half, the skin just about comes off your palms after scrubbing and then wringing the water out of your clothes by twisting them the best you can .. the line cannot take the weight of the clothes loaded with water. Having said that, there is a very soul satisfying feeling when the day is done and you light the lanterns after supper.. because you know you did it all yourself... nothing was eaten, cleaned or done without your own physical efforts.. It's a feeling that is hard to describe, you have to live it to know it. We have no regrets, but not sure, having done that, that we want to do it again… youth and the energy that goes with it, is behind us now, and I get tired just thinking about how hard we worked to make it work. Be careful what you wish for … you may just get that wish. |
