| Anonymous Coward User ID: 1582540 12/12/2012 08:26 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | US President Barack Obama plans to propose to Iran that they conduct direct negotiations over the Islamic Republic nuclear program, Channel 10 reported Tuesday night citing a senior US official. Quoting: KIP According to the official, the decision did not involve any coordination or consultation with Israel. According to the report, the US is likely to give negotiations a time-frame of four to five months. If they do not succeed, the US may resort to the military option. The report came a day after The Guardian reported that Western diplomats believe Israel has been leaking sensitive information about Iran's nuclear program in a bid to rally the international community to action. Meanwhile Israel renewed calls against the Iranian program, as Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said Monday the problem would have to be confronted in 2013. | Mg User ID: 29663307 12/12/2012 08:36 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Well it already doesn't make sense to trust anything "The Jerusalem Post" says about Iran. Obama is fighting a losing battle of words though. There's nothing he can say or do to stop Iran from using nuclear energy. Iranians aren't uneducated, ignorant cave-dwellers, and nobody is going to force them to stop their technology when there's no reason and when nobody else is doing it, that doesn't even make any sense. Sanctions on Iran are hurting but they are also going to backfire against those imposing them, you can't isolate a developing country and expect it not to become self-sufficient at some point, and that's what's happening. There are not going to be any forced hands in this game. And no military action will be taken, Obama is no fool. |
