These Terrifying Handcuffs Can Shock And Drug Prisoners
An Arizona-based company recently filed a patent for high-tech futuristic handcuffs that are, in a word, terrifying. In addition to restraining prisoners, the cuffs can also deliver electric shocks and sedatives.

They're still in the patent phase right now, of course, but when they do exist on a full commercial scale, they could work manually at a guard's behest or they could be programmed to automatically activate when someone in cuffs starts to act up or steps outside of certain boundaries. Safety mechanisms could--hopefully will--be set to prevent a guard from doping or shocking prisoners to the point where they suffer from major side effects. Death, for example.

That's terrifying and sick, especially considering the bizarre and insanely high rates of incarceration in America. It's just so perfectly wrapped up that they've brainwashed people into thinking that prison is the only punishment and that everyone who commits any crime of any type, ever, has to go to prison and deserves these kind of treatments. Would never fly anywhere else but in here in Zombie-land.

I completely agree, and these are the only types of things they're telling us about.

Considering what prison guards have to go through on account of some of these animals parading as human prisoners I say they drop the handcuff idea. If they replace them with bracelets then the prisoners can wear them 24/7.

Although I don't doubt that. I'm sure the percentage is low. It's not really the people that are corrupt, it's the system.

The system flings bodily excretions at the guards? I'm pretty sure that was the prisoners. I'm sure you have a pretty sunshine and roses view of the prison population, one that likely isn't shared by the guards at these prisons.

Re: These Terrifying Handcuffs Can Shock And Drug Prisoners
Actually, it's true that the prison population act like savages and lots of them don't belong in society.

I used to sing the same sad songs for all the prisoners until my boyfriend got put in prison for about two years. We had this conversation the other day. My boyfriend is straight up ghetto, from the streets, the type of person you would never think would ever say that people deserve to be locked up. After all he was in jail himself. But he always tells me, "Stop feeling sorry for them. Most of those guys are stupid and constantly talk about getting back on the streets to rob and attack people."

But the fact is that those people are bred to be like that. And instead of doing anything to reform their behavior, the system gladly accepts them in, gives them a place like prison where they can just get worse and worse and worse with no chance of EEEVVVERRRR being a productive member of society. Just the felony record alone is like a big stamp on their foreheads saying, "I'm trash, don't ever trust or hire me." If we're the civilized ones, we should help our so-called "savage" counterparts out and lift them up out of the fuckery that they've placed themselves in. That's for one.

For two, the prison guards are much much much much worse than the prisoners themselves. These are the people that put human beings into handcuffs and beat them mercilessly, these are the people who are supposed to be upstanding members of society who constantly pick at and provoke people who are imprisoned.

Oh, and one more very important point that ties these things together is that back in the 1700's when these types of prisons were being designed, there was public outrage from many scientists who had found that putting a human being in a closed space away from society will literally make them mentally unstable and ill. This is something people entirely gloss over as just "oh who cares, that's not the real problem." No. That is the entire problem. Prison makes people crazy.
