| Bornready User ID: 26230613 12/13/2012 12:42 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Thanks for the heads up. My son and I just went out at watched about as long as we could. We caught about 10. We layed out in the back yard back in August and caught a meteor shower for the first time. It feels so special to catch them together and we keep saying just one more good one.... |

I agree theres more than meteors flying tonight...I seen several meteors in under two minutes...Also seen two craft flying overhead...no noise...one was glowing white the other was oddly shaped and red...North Texas about 10 minutes ago |

Here's a few ALL-SKY CAMs for those who'd rather watch meteors on their PC than out in the cold dark of night. Quoting: Hugh M Eye My Favorite is Mt. Lemmon in Arizona: [link to www.lpl.arizona.edu] NASA's fireball network (mostly in the SE USA): [link to fireballs.ndc.nasa.gov] Tromso, Norway: [link to polaris.nipr.ac.jp] Another from AZ (kinda out of focus tho): [link to skycam.mmto.arizona.edu] I lost over 200 links recently (out of 729), so if you have any other all-sky cams please add 'em to the list. I also found this webpage about the meteorites found a couple months ago from that bright SanFran Fireball. In case one lands in yer yard you'll know what to look for, haha. [link to meteorite-recovery.tripod.com] I think I've found the mother-lode of all-sky cams! There's over 30 cams from all around the globe. Folks should bookmark for future reference: [link to www.allskycam.com] There was a small Geminid seen from Maine (I don't know if it's still on there): [link to www.allskycam.com] Also for future Aurora spotting, here's a link to several Alaskan cams: [link to optics.gi.alaska.edu] Enjoy the show! |

Just a thought....nothing more...but could this "new" meteor shower be a cover for something else? ![]() ![]() |
