Nothing here during my ciggie breaks, but the sky is overcast. Didn't see anything earlier though. Last night I did see a very nice meteor though! It was a big one, shot across the sky as a blue-green streak. Lasted pretty long before it burned up. |

[link to www.spaceweather.com] Things are heating up for shure! I have not seen so meny close flybys (marked with red) since I began visiting the site. 3 asteroids between us and the moon in the coming month... that they know of. I have not taken this 2012 thing to serious before, but.... hmmmm. Are we entering a cloud of asteroids and meteors? Those underground bases are starting to make sence... |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 17545967 United States 12/13/2012 07:23 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Clouds cleared out about an hour ago. Went outside and made sure to bring binoculars and saw at least 15 really bright ones. Never seen them that bright. No tail on any either except the dim ones I saw. Just solid white/blue streaking over. Even saw a few satellites that I looked at with the binocs until one of them, I shit you not stopped moving and another passed right by them. Saw another that looked odd but I THINK it was simply a tumbling satellite. Was kind of a yellowish/almost orange color brightening and flashing but not disappearing or anything between flashes. |

A cigarette and a half, best friends house, two cigarettes. :-) Yep, me too! Absolute amazing sky tonight in New Berlin, WI. (SE part of State) Quoting: Warlord I haven't seen this many stars out (constellations) ever in my quarter century of life. And to top it all of.. every few minutes the Western Sky is pelted with another fragment of outer space. Very hard to capture, they last a mere moment. Also, I find that some of the stars doing a bizarre wobbling? Can someone explain this phenomenon to me? Its as if they are getting closer and then tuning back to their regular position. I thought it was just me with the wobbling...hmmmm...i kept closing me eyes and looking again cuz they all seemed like they were being excessively blinky tonight... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 10743044 I've looked during "peak" shower times for years and never seen more than one during a smoke. This is incredible! They are going in all directions, seems like they're coming from overhead... Ohio, BTW. Im in SW Ohio and I too saw a crapload of them flying everywhere as I was bringing in the groceries from the jeep. |
