Big Meteor in Northeastern Ohio streaked across the sky heading west. I haven't seen one this big in a long time. Just west of Akron. Big orange and yellow ball of fire followed by a blue and white tail with sparks. Approx 10:40 Est.

Earth is entering a stream of debris from rock comet 3200 Phaethon, source of the annual Geminid meteor shower. Forecasters expect as many as 120 Geminids per hour to appear when the shower peaks on Dec. 13th and 14th. The best time to look is during the dark hours before dawn this Thursday and Friday
