Have you ever gotten right into a project and found you couldn't finish?

Right now Im knd of in the same boat I feel brain dead but I no choice to get this crap done by Friday.

I bought a house that needs thousands of dollars of repair, and everything is 10x harder and 10x more expensive than I ever thought possible. The problem is, that nobody is going to buy it from me unless I finish it, or I would take a very bad beating on the price.

Mine was something I have invested three years of my life into and I had it almost finished but I can't do anything with it now.

Can't explain.

I had that happen before I was 4, apparently you never get over it and all future projects fail long before 3 yrs. I was being your sad emoticon, did it work?

I don't know if this is the same thing OP.... but I've gone into art projects with lots of enthusiasm and confidence painting something I love. Then right before it's completed...and sometimes after, I begin to doubt myself about its saleability. It's like,...if this is my best work, and what I do best, and no one likes it...then what? What does that say about my ability? Sometimes it just takes pushing through to call it done. I hope you get a renewed energy to finish it because...it's a part of you that no one else can do.

Thats not a project, its a catastrophe waiting to happen...

sometimes with art it's best to sit it aside for a while - I get what you have, nearly finished, then it's 'meh' and you find yourself onto something fresh.
