Oh yeah, Babylon is acient grounds. Many Many artifacts in that region. Even in Egypt they've found pharoh's and kings mentioned in the bible. If they dig deeper, they'll probably find Sodom and Gomorrah.

Man today has accomplished the tower of Babel by going into space. That is what Nimrod was trying to do, get Satan back into the Heavens to "be like the Most High" (See Isaiah 14:14). Satan, along with the help of the gentile nations have accomplished this.
