Far Cry 3 is one of the best games I ever played | |

To me, it's one of those games where it's worth playing through, but after you're done w/the campaign you never think about it again. I trust your judgement. I want GTA5 GTA spring 2013!!! Can't wait for GTA 5 -- I'm still playing GTA 3 after all these years. Rockstar is my favorite game developer. I hope we get a Red Dead Redemption sequel next gen too. |

As far as the repetitive nature of Far Cry 3, what you're describing sounds like Just Cause 2 -- while it was a decent game, it got very old, very fast, because everything about the big landscape and what you did in it, was EXACTLY the same thing over and over. |

I've had ArmA II since release, the campaigns aren't all that great but I love the editor and some of the singleplayer scenarios are very good, War Welcome and Bear Rising are like Real-Time strategy in first person, great fun. Check out Armaholic for other mods too: [link to www.armaholic.com] For doomy post-apocalyptic rpg/fps fun try the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series as well, although a bit long in the tooth these days they still got atmosphere like no other, very similar to DayZ but singleplayer only. |
