Regardless, had it been two people of the same race instead of a white woman and a black woman, I would imagine that the person who didn't get the greeting would still feel snubbed. I know I would. The difference is that the black woman was beligerent and angry enough to say something about it, which isn't really normal. Most people would think, "Damn, rude," and move on with their lives. Regardless, it's not really a black or white thing to be racist and racially paranoid, it's an American thing. All the nasty things said in this thread about blacks would be said by blacks on a black website. Sounds like black are already involved in a race war against all other races. All of us mixed breed mutts need to unite. |

Not worth the hassle, many thinks. Yes, this, do put in a good word for the cashier. It sounds as if the angry woman was looking for hostility, just trolling and looking for trouble. Be very careful around those ones, in fact next time try and be a little more vigilant and if you get an odd/strange/hostile vibe from someone move right away to avoid them at all costs. Move to a different cashier, walk the isles until you see her leave, go out a different exit. It is not a good force that surrounds these people, the hostile ones. It's just amazing how it turns to a black vs white issue. Op should have went over and said I shop here everyday and this is the first time this cashier has said how are you doing ever. And then said I'm sick of these racist sons of bitches not greeting us black people!!!! That would have fixed that ladies race issue. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 27610031 United States 12/13/2012 05:04 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I agree with everyone here that said to put in a good word for the cashier. Obviously you nor her are racist and neither of you need tagged as such, especially when it could mean her job in this already tough economy. Also, I'd like to share a quick little story and remind people to be vigilant anytime they're out in public anymore. I'm not racist, but some of the acts taking place around my area are quite disturbing. I'll first tell you that I live in a rural area where there's literally no blacks. It's an area where everyone's white, conservative, and hard working individuals. Most of us work in the drilling industry or coal mining. Naturally we opposed Obama because of his strict EPA policies as many of us were and still are losing our jobs. Anyways, we have a nearby town where we have our high school, supermarkets, etc. This is where the race is predominantly black. They dwell in the ghettos, many don't have jobs, and most deal or use narcotics. Since the election, the blacks have essentially declared war on us rural folk because we opposed Obama's re-election. That leads me up to last Monday. My friend had made a trip to the local Wal-Mart to pick up some groceries and what not. He had just gotten off work at a coal mine, so he was in boots and coveralls. Also, he was shopping alone. Upon checking out and returning to his car he was confronted by 3 black men in the parking lot where he was ridiculed for holding a job in the mines and not being an Obama supporter. All 3 of them proceeded to kick the daylights out of my friend right there in the parking lot for nothing more than being a white man who holds a job. In all seriousness, my father has said he hasn't seen this much racial tension since the 70's. Back then, in the year of '79, blacks and whites lined up on opposite sides of the street in front of the local high school wielding bats, clubs, and whatever else could be used as a weapon. That time the situation was diffused by riot police. It's going to be coming to a head here once again as the rural folks are getting fed up with being attacked and ridiculed by the blacks. |

I think she just doesn't go out of her way to sympathize with the Black woman. I'm not sure if that's a bad thing or not since the Black woman was pretty much a bitch about it, but one thing is for certain - most White people will never understand or try to understand the way Blacks feel about their position in society... and most Blacks will never try to understand how Whites feel towards racial issues. It's a mutual lack of respect for one another. The Black chick probably flipped out because of some deep-seated inner feelings of racial inferiority, the White woman doesn't understand how that can possibly be when things are supposed to be equal and neither of them will bother trying to understand one another, particularly because the Black woman went off the handle instead of calmly trying to talk about it. Is there an underlying reason behind that too? Probably. But it doesn't matter, because neither side is willing to sympathize. At the end of the day, none of them are going to do shit but sit there complaining, so really, "it is what it is." |
