Not sure. Cuz do you remember your life before being a baby?
If I think about it. I believe I do remember blackness.
But maybe that's in my imagination?

No. It is like when you have major surgery and the anesthetist count backwards from 100. And then you are awake. Well dieing is like when you reach 97 then you do not wake up again.

Re: Will dying be like waking up from a dream?
No you who have died are considered asleep...
By those who see you are dead but in Christ there is no death unto Him.
So we do not call them dead.

The reason why they are not called this is because they can not die.

Their body can and be given over unto death they can shed this body.

But that living being inside a shell of a body can not die.

There is no need in sleeping in the spirit there is no night there is no hunger no weariness.

You are awake when you leave you body and you know this full well..the spirit never sleeps in man.
Even while he is sleeping the spirit is not asleep in Him.

So no it is not as you woke up because you were not asleep...you can look up and lift your eyes up but not awake from any sleep.

The dead in Christ are those who have not as of yet been reborn but are their names are there for them to be in given unto them their time.

No matter what it looks like unto us who are watching another pass away it may look hideous to us.
But it passes off them not as we see it in them and unto them it is perceived differently.

They go when they have had all they can bear some faster than others because they are weaker.

It is different than a dream because in a dream you know you are separated....you know that your mind is doing its own thing off by its self with out the body being a part of it.

But when you leave your body you are whole all one not the same as separated in the body mind from body.

Instead you separate as a whole being much greater than a dream it is actually real reality. One with not separation limits or restraints any more no weight or burden of your body of flesh or tangible existence.

And you are not alone when you are leaving you are not alone but instead others are there with you as well....at least one other than many many others also.

If you go this way you will not come back nor will you ever want to.

No. dying is like having your soul ripped out of your body and extinguished.

There is nothing after death. Death is the end, kaput - IT...

And in most cases its extremely physically painful as well.

Only God knows after death, and he has revealed this to his people in the Bible, including Jesus himself who said death is sleep (Matthew 13:36-43; also about Lazarus, i.e. in death he "sleeps"). When we are asleep and wake up the next morning we do not remember our sleep for 8 hours, it seems like the next waking moment. Our next waking moment will be resurrection and years of death will not even be remembered seeming like no time has passed.

Way stupid question. Noone knows.
"The world will soon wake up to the reality that everyone is broke and can collect nothing from the bankrupt, who are owed unlimited amounts by the insolvent, who are attempting to make late payments on a bank holiday in the wrong country, with an unacceptable currency, against defaulted collateral, of which nobody is sure who holds title."

Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

No I died and came back OP years ago. I did not believe in an afterlife but assumed if there was one, you must just forget your life on earth. How could you be happy if all your loved ones were on earth and you remembered them?

To my surprised I remembered everything. You are as aware as you are right now, maybe even more so. I was happy but ended up being worried about how my family would feel as I was so young, and came back.

Why do you go back unto the time before Christ was glorified and ascended and....and choose to take what was for a fulfillment of the old testament prophets which spoke of Him and His works that would be done.
For a sign unto all the Words spoken are fulfilled before you all..not any thing was left unfulfilled.

Yet the old way temple and kingdom of earth had not even been removed yet the things of the old and those shadow of what was to come...had not been removed.

That age closed the door sealed shut on it and a new Way The Way that was a better Way was established and not of this world or earth..but way way much greater than that.

And apply that one miracle to fulfill the prophets as well as the law and Psalms....to confirm the coming of that New Way that was foretold and foreordained had come and was taking all up out of this earth unto the Eternal Realm.

No this was not what we would all have done to us..this was for proof He Was who He said He was.

Take what Paul said to be Truth and believe it..for it was not Paul who spoke but Christ who was in Paul..

When Paul would be separated from his body he would be present with Christ..

Believe that you have eternal Life and shall not SEE death.

Believe that Christ is in heaven even Stephen testified of this while being bludgeoning to death by rocks and dying...testified of this Christ is in heaven at the right hand of the throne.

And He Steven called for Him to receive his spirit and went to him he did...

Believe in the power of your quickening to new life believe that Power of the Holy Spirit of God in that Gospel you receive is Spirit and Life and that baptism was also to fill you with That Same Spirit of Eternal Life God the Holy Spirit filled you and sealed you..

Who is not appointed death but life...and can not die.

Your body is wretched sin is in your body of flesh not your spirit.
Your flesh is left to perishable corruptible not of eternal everlasting immortal incorruptible substance.

But you spirit is...you shall not die.
You shall not lay in a defiled rotting corpse capsule.

You have a new body new fashioned body suitable for the eternal for heaven.

You will like you new body and being and life so much better than this one you have now of flesh.

You have to believe Christ and His Words He spoke unto all of The New Way The New Life The New Kingdom.

What angel of or in heaven is of flesh? None

You can remember you dreams, hell, you can even control them (lucid dreaming). I think if dying's not like before you were born (forgot who that quote's from) it'll be weird and trippy like dreaming.

I die in dreams all the time, dying made me feel loved, comfy and safe. Then later another dream would show up as things spun around in warm, safe, comfy darkness.

Last year I had a massive heart attack and died and was brought back. So I know what the other side is like. Its peaceful, and its like being in that one place in your past that you found to be your place. The one place that you were most happy at, with friends and family around. However if you ever get there and they bring you back its hard to realize what is reality and what is not reality.

If I had to describe the other side, I would say its like being in the best dream possible, one that you really never want to leave, however I only made it to what is called the waiting place, where we wait for our loved ones. This is what Fern said it was.

However I found myself to also be sad when I came back, because I did see my mom but not my dad, which once again brings back to me what the ministers say about how those that take their own lives never go to heaven. Or maybe he has already gone to heaven? Since I was only in the waiting place?

My heart was stopped for 20 minutes, and to me it was like I had been there for days, so there the time is different then here.

How Ironic how many of you can say BS when you haven't had an experience yourself. Maybe you need someone to shoot you in the head then you would know what its like? I believe it will be like before you were born. Your concious is lost but you still exist as matter and you will keep on existing for as long as the universe exists. Conciousness is just the ability to process information, when you die you lose your instrument for processing information. The matter that once made up your body will dissolve into the universe again.
