There may be situations where Baha'is would defend themselves and need to use some sort of force. However, it is also my understanding that we are to stay out of partisan politics and that as individuals we must be careful not to let our personal opinions on highly politicized matters become misconstrued as somehow the official stance of the Faith. I am grateful that we have representatives at the U.N. and the Baha'i International Community that work closely with the Universal House of Justice and the Baha'i World Centre in Haifa, Israel to share insight from the Baha'i writings to try to influence peaceful resolution to these very difficult conflicts in the world. I pray that these two sides, full of beautiful families and individuals on both sides, will come to a meaningful resolution soon full of profound forgiveness soon. |
