bahai's and what i learned
Ive been a bahai for 30 years and seem to understand that we don't use weapons or are allowed to kill but I'm seeing that in order to protect ourselves and those we care about should we change that rule. Visiting the universal house of justice i saw jewish soldiers protecting the temple and I'm gratefull and love the jewish people with all my heart and feel that we should return the favor and pick up arms and help our jewish brothers and sisters, am i wrong for feeling like this?

Of course it's wrong if it goes against the faith that you believe in with all of your heart. Not to mention that you've sympathized with the evildoers in the scenario.

Re: bahai's and what i learned
My understanding is that while the Baha'i Faith encourages and promotes peace it is not completely pacifist. There may be situations where Baha'is would defend themselves and need to use some sort of force. However, it is also my understanding that we are to stay out of partisan politics and that as individuals we must be careful not to let our personal opinions on highly politicized matters become misconstrued as somehow the official stance of the Faith. I am grateful that we have representatives at the U.N. and the Baha'i International Community that work closely with the Universal House of Justice and the Baha'i World Centre in Haifa, Israel to share insight from the Baha'i writings to try to influence peaceful resolution to these very difficult conflicts in the world. I pray that these two sides, full of beautiful families and individuals on both sides, will come to a meaningful resolution soon full of profound forgiveness soon.
