Blood suckers! "McDonald's Worker, Still Makes Minimum Wage After 20 Years Of Service"

From what I can see, it's pointless to tell that story on this website. I didn't know this place was like this until today. They will call him a N-word who feels entitled to higher wages and handouts. They will say he should go out and get a better job and stop complaining. Personally I know that this is wrong and should not happen in America, but it's not surprising to me at all. People and the companies that they run are hateful, greedy and self-interested.

McDonalds as never been known for any great career moves. Unless you go into management of open your own restaurant. You would think after twenty years, he would be thinking, wait a minute.

Well...I was working at a steel mill for a couple years making decent money. The recession hit in 2008, and I lost my job. I have 4 kids and a wife to care for.....I needed to do something. Couldnt stand the thought of sitting around on unemployment and not working. So I took a job wherever I could get one. That job happened to be at Walmart...making $9.00hr working 32 hours a week. Now like I said....I have a family to take care of....There was NO WAY IN HELL I was going to sit back and settle into this job...just couldnt afford it...It was'nt even enough to cover my basic expenses. Intead of sitting around at this job...I chose to aggresively look for something better...I knew I could do better...even though I didnt have a colledge education. So day in...Day out I was out there putting in applications...trying to desperatly find something better. Everyday I was falling further and further into debt. Finally...after a whole year of looking (and hell @ Wal-mart)...I landed a great paying job...$21.00hr..and alot of overtime...I went from making $13,000 a year...to making $55,000 a year....and rising. This guy has NO right to bitch about anything! If he is unhappy where he is at...he has the freedom to get out there and try to better himself...Instead of settling in at Mcdonalds...FOR 20 FUCKING YEARS!This guy deserves to make minimume wage...he is to lazy to go out and better himself...What does he expect..100K a year for flipping fucking burgers.

My husband is disabled but chooses to still work. He won't stop. Anyway, he makes very low wages as well and for 4 yrs with the same company and no raises. Employee of the month stuff but no raises. Same with all employee's there except for the Managers. They get raises and bonuses yearly. Okay, yesterday the man who owns this large company ( he is listed in the yearly billionaires in the USA group and over 9,000 employees) well he called up and said get me DIET COKE NOW! One man had to leave work run up to the Publix, buy him 2 cases of Diet Coke that had to be not out of expiration by 2 weeks yet and a certain oz. and size. The man had to pay with his OWN money and get reimbursed by the office later. He had to do THIS PRONTO too hurry hurry....the Owner wants his diet coke...NOW! IMAGINE THIS YALL!!!!!!!! wowy

If people are still working there after twenty years they are being paid exactly what they deserve. They can always quit and find a better job if they don't like the pay.

Right. Costs are based on certain facts and circumstances like the cost to produce.

Many low-paying unskilled jobs are going to pay X amount of dollars per hour no matter if you work there 2 weeks or ten years. It is what that work position pays and operating costs are based on that.

And often it's going to be the least amount they can pay for someone to do that work.

no, he just deserves a living wage. if mcdonald's or anyone else is operating in your country, they have an obligation to pay a decent wage to those workers of that country. why should mr burger flipper subsidize mickey's profit margin?

Why should you have the "right" to more money if McDonald's can hire someone else do to the job for less? If I hire someone special who I don't want to lose they are paid more money...plain and simple. If you "socialists" get your way America is fucked and we'll all suffer the consequences.

He made a conscious decision to stay there for two decades. Especially in that amount of time, he had the ability to move on and seek a better job but he chose not to. The other side of the coin- McD's are incredibly greedy not to raise the pay of someone so loyal to the company.

Who here would ever willingly pay more for something than it's real value? Who would pay $8 for a burger when you could get one for $5? Or pay a roofer $3000 when another asks $2500 for the same quality job?

Working for McDonalds is a job for kids, college students and temporary workers. It is not meant as a Career opportunity. The 20 year veteran of McDonalds is responsible for his own action (or inaction in this case) where it comes to employment. In other words, quit blaming the evil corporations because this dumbass is too fucking lazy to look for a better job.

I bought a nice used truck last week. Instead of negotiating to get the asking price lower, I offered an extra $1000 with the provision it be divided among all the minimum wage lot boys. Luckily the dealer agreed and we had a deal.

If only McDonalds acted in a similar manner.

On the otherhand I know low wages workers who make little effort to improve things. Have a good marketable skill, but give up when a small handful of craigslist ads fail. I tell them to keep at it, they don't.
