It isn't illegal to have marijuana in your system. They could flat out deny it and not even be in any trouble with the school. I'm sure that's what her friend will do, anyway.

That is really pathetic parenting, but I guess that's what you get when you have millions of dollars to spend on nannies and don't raise your child proper. No bond.

If he believes it is wrong, then good for him. Nice to see a parent involved in their child's life, and let them know actions have repercussions.

I was talking to my 15-yr-old daughter last night about our relationship, which is one of the most important things in my life. I told her that there was NOTHING, EVER, that she couldn't talk about with me. I may get freaked out, and you may have to say in advance, Now, Dad, don't have a stroke, I said, but still, anything is open for discussion.

She's an excellent kid, as is her sister, and largely because my wife and I put in the time to raise them with our values.

If she were to smoke pot, I would never EVER EVER turn in. To serve what purpose? Destroy our relationship? Shatter the trust between us? I mean, I expect her to do things as a kid, but rat her out?

Roker just did more damage to his daughter and their relationship than a couple puffs off a joint would ever do.

Are you all so evil and hateful in real life? Well , of course you are, because it is inside of you, but do you show it to people you come in contact with everyday. It must be painful to have all this negativity inside you.

True, but the human condition is riddled with mistakes through life. I'm thinking the lesson could have been handled without labeling the kid for life, that's ultimately what he did.

Blood is thicker than water. That doesn't work out for everyone. Kinda sad but true.

If his daughter has been raise correctly, she will take it as a lesson learned, and still love her dad. Nothing will porobably happen to her, maybe a slap on the wrist (not show up on her record). Now she sees what it is like to go to jail, and deal with the court system, he may have prevented something more serious in the future.
