If he believes it is wrong, then good for him. Nice to see a parent involved in their child's life, and let them know actions have repercussions.

I'm thinking the lesson could have been handled without labeling the kid for life, that's ultimately what he did. Blood is thicker than water. That doesn't work out for everyone. Kinda sad but true. If his daughter has been raise correctly, she will take it as a lesson learned, and still love her dad. Nothing will porobably happen to her, maybe a slap on the wrist (not show up on her record). Now she sees what it is like to go to jail, and deal with the court system, he may have prevented something more serious in the future. I was raised by pot smoking hippie flower children, so were a lot of people. I'm not asking for sympathy from you or any person. What if I turned them in, I might have suffered the consequences of their actions, I might not have. Just sayin dude, think about it.
