MIAMI (AP) -- Anti-virus software founder John McAfee is holed up in a Miami hotel after weeks of evading Belizean authorities who want to question him in a homicide.

Shortly after McAfee arrived Wednesday evening on a flight from Guatemala, he announced on his website that he had alighted in the city's swank South Beach neighborhood.

McAfee was deported from the Central American country after sneaking in illegally from Belize, where police want to question him in connection with the death of a U.S. expatriate who lived near him on an island off Belize's coast.

McAfee says he did not kill the neighbor and feared his own life would be in danger if he turned himself in to Belizean authorities. He has not been charged with any crime, and it was unclear whether U.S. authorities had any interest in questioning him.

and, Belize hasn't charged him with any crime, and
as far as i know the U.S. doesen't extradite people
just because they are wanted "for questioning".

He went way off the deep end with his freebased MDPV hobby. On a drug discussion forum he claimed to have refined over 22 kilos of MDPV into the more potent freebase form. . . Kind of like the ultimate stimulant and he turned on the entire village near him. It creates such intense sexual arousal that the villagers were raping goats and he was getting down with teenage girls, caused quite a scene and drew too much attention. I think his neighbor was killed by a hit squad that mistook him for MacAfee after he got into it with the authorities because of his lifestyle, and they thought he was running a meth lab. He said they had confiscated his guns before the murder. Yes he went way too far with the drugs but more power to him if that's what he wants to do. . .It is legal in belize.
