Police Officer Wraps $100 Bill In Traffic Ticket
A traffic stop in Plano ended unlike any you've ever heard about before.

It started when Hayden Carlo was pulled over for an expired registration sticker.

Carlo says he's been struggling to support his wife and two small children.

"You get paid, pay your bills, and there's your money. It's gone."

He told the officer he had no excuse for the expired sticker.

"I said 'there's no explanation for why I haven't done it, except I don't have the money.' I said 'it was either feed my kids or get my registration done."

The officer wrote a citation and handed it to the 25-year-old. Carlo says when he took it, he could not believe what he saw.

"I opened it up and there's a 100 dollar bill. I broke down in my car what else could I do."

The officer never told anyone about the $100 gift. But Carlo's grandfather, Billy McIntire, was so moved by the kind gesture he wrote a letter to the department.

Well the ticket and the cost to register is probably more than $100. Why not let him go with no ticket and give him the $100?

Re: Police Officer Wraps $100 Bill In Traffic Ticket
I am not sure how to interpret this particular story but ...

Isn't this basically what the government does to banks who get caught? Laundering money for drug cartels. creating liar loans that destroyed people (people who took the loans, and people who did not take the loans and) Banks who are actively engaged in funding wars, and lots of dead people around the world in the drug trade? The same banks who know down to the millisecond if you overdraft for $0.50?

They get a fine. a slap on the wrist, and then bernanke gives them a few billion more per day in quantitative easing?

I couldn't help but notice the late modle car he drives...poor fucking twerp. I drive what I can afford--PAID FOR in full. I wonder if he has concidered not being a debt slave by not buying things he cant afford? THEY both probably have the nice cars bought with credit they dont deserve.

KUDOS to the pig though.

They said the $100 was enough for the ticket and to renew both his wife's and his registrations...it was probably a $25 fine and $60-70 for two registrations...the cop still had to do his job and issue the citation.

Not necessarily, they'll usually forgive the ticket once proof of registration is provided or knock the fine way down.

The $100 may cover it, but may just help the guy in the next week get by.

Unfortunately, the official will probably be fired for this.

Umm, he had to do his job? He can't give a "warning" for registration, if it's expired he must give a ticket. Expired tags is kind of a big deal.

Yeah, and in the good ole days cops could give folks a fuckin' break. However, their bosses, the very bosses that seek out the sociopaths for their tactical and entry teams, have created quotas.

It's insane.
