Unfortunately in communist Russia most people except the elite were living like you. So if you want that for everyone, then communism is great!

Capitalist markets are regulated by the consumers and if there was free market capitalism people are rewarded for their hard work and will fall when they are lazy.

I can see why you think a government NEEDS to regulate business. What you don't understand though is business and politics become one and the same. This gives no chance for the small business men, but gives news jobs to new school educated slaves.

If you want to advance as a society let's move in the future and go back to the 200 year old system, because it's obvious the 2,000 year old system STILL DOES NOT WORK.

The problem with communism is pretty simple and thrives from human nature it self:

1) not to do anything is better than do something and be wrong
2) why do something as you still get the same benefits as the next guy who?
3) The people 'ruling' usually end up taking everything, pretty much in all governing forms.

So it pretty much falls into that.

There are tons of people in the UK you can ask who first hand lived through communism and naziism. Ask them.

I personally know people in the UK who get visas from communist countries to work there, and bring their money back home because they can't support themselves under communism. The govt takes the majority of what you saved and you have only a little to show for 6 months of hard work.

You can't speak freely, you can't worship, you can't retire. You cannot go anywhere without permission. You share all you have worked for, including your own home with strangers. The more you try to feed your children, the more food is confiscated to 'share' with those capable of working.

Then one day they just come and take you away.

To survive more than a generation communism can only function if the work out put is more than the labor compensation otherwise the system feeds on the available assets of the country and it goes bankrupt. So to thrive you must work say 60 hours a week and get paid for 40. If you are game then lets go ahead and convert.

A perfect economy for communism would be an oil rich country that does not need for anyone to produce.

There is nothing wrong with Communism per se. China and the former USSR are totalitarian regimes, which deny their citizens basic human rights. The USSR no longer exists, and China doesn't even pretend to be Communist.
