Who's not Having Christmas Dinner this year? Financially Strapped.

I want to thank the op, profusely, from the bottom of my heart for putting in an order for me to receive a dinner which i will give to my son who is a single dad of two small children.
He is very happy, i just called him.
I'm in no position to help him, so this is going to be wonderful for him and the kids!!!!!

For the most part your are right. But there are a lot of proud people out there that won't ask for help. It's very anonymous here.

Also, I didn't want to send a grubby Christmas meal. I want to send something that doesn't taste like cardboard and was a little over the top. Something a little more special. I've never had a gourmet Christmas dinner sent to me. Of course I grew up with great cooks in the family. No need.

as a single mom, we have often gone w/o xmas or thanksgiving dinner, but sometimes a church donated turkey and trimmings and I was always so grateful.

we used to go help out at homeless shelters etc as a way to give on those days.

when you give you don't notice what you're lacking as much.

plus, we got dinner! lol.

I try to ignore the holidays as my first born is missing since 19 since my divorce.

his younger brother is now a teenager and says, save your money, mom and buy me a video game instead...lol.

Thank you honey, my son is having a hard time and his wife died of cancer last year, very young, and he's dealing with the children the best he can.

my first born just had a baby but I don't know where he is...and I've cried my eyes out everynight for the last couple years, just wanting to know or hug that baby girl. if you pray pray for me, too.
I'll be fasting and praying over the holidays for God to roll away the stone over my first born's heart.

I haven't been able to afford a Christmas or Thanksgiving dinner in over a decade. I only recently became not homeless after being homeless for over 7 years.

I'll probably go to the soup kitchen again this year. It's where I've had Christmas dinner every year since I got out of the Navy in 2002.

How cheap! You are getting a free advertising amongst th0usands of people and in return you are giving a hungry family a paltry 2 pounds of turkey? Cheap ass! Why not double the portion so they all don't have to have a small serving of turkey. Or give out 5 of these meals as you are getting lots of exposure to your website here. How do we now these people will even get the meal and that you are not just a spammer? Green Bean Casserole? Ewwwwww....

I gave away three cars last year. One person on this site to a dad that desperately needed it. Not to mention all my other smaller charitable donations to the likes of the Salvation Army and several food drives. Not that I owe you any explanation.

If your in a car giving mood i will ask for one op,my truck is on its last leg and im about 12 miles outta town(long walk for food)

Raising one grandchild while supporting 1 other and their mother(SSI)for mental issues,in bankruptcy at the moment and fighting in court for custody of oldest grandchild against the father(pervert).

Attorney fees have taken every last penny i have extra so i cant even afford repairs on my old truck,my family depends on me so much and i feel like im letting them down.

My husband stopped calling home after thanksgiving(truck driver)i think he is about ta walk out on us all,thats just him...he cant handle the pressure.
