I think the cure for ODD (Oppositional Defiant Disorder) is worse than the disease...

I hear they prescribe watching MSNBC for six months straight...

That's because the pharmaceutical industry wants to push pills for anything and everything. People have no idea how gigantic this industry has grown and how much influence they now have.

Their goal is to make you believe you need their drugs for every little thing.

I agree this is part of the problem, but I still think this works with their "Agenda" as well...

They state if you grieve the death of a loved one for more than two weeks you are clinically depressed and mandate medication.

Psychiatry has become an absolute joke, those SOB's kill more people every year than car accidents...

I wanted to be a therapist, but kept failed out of the program bc of a statistics class. It was a blessing in diguise. The more I learn about pschopathology and how it is addressed by the medical community, the less I want to be a part of the field of mental health. Everything is linked to the DSM to justify billing and medication. It is a SHAM, the whole thing is a scam.

Go take your prozac and shut the fuck up...

I was really disappointed about the roll of psychiatry. They do nothing but prescribe pills.

My daughter was suffering from depression. I took her to therapists for years. Then when I took her to an actual psychiatrist, he had no interest in trying to help her other than prescribing medication. He gave her no other
'therapy'. When I said, "Aren't you going to talk to her or have sessions with her?" He said, that's what councillors are for.

What a cush job. Charge $300.00 bucks an hour to pull out your perscription pad and tell you to go see a councillor. What the hell do they need all those years of school for? How to hold a pen?

I think my son has ODD. Most would say he's just spoiled.

I ENCOURAGE defiance and rebellion in my son.

Even if it's towards me.

They are the worst kind of quacks, because people ACTUALLY listen to them. A Psychiatrist all but killed my father a few years ago with multiple prescriptions for everything from Benzo's to Antidepresants...

I guess there are a lot of psychiatrists on today? 5* though because pill pushing is becoming a pretty big problem.
