How do you danes cope with the pure, disgusting, insensitive depression that`s going on around? music and alcohol Where you from, why did you move to the dk? I`m from Romania Yea, alcohol doesn`t really cut it for me, as I don`t drink and such other vices. I moved to study. The studies are free, but the true reason behind it all, as I don`t expect to have too much success with them studies, is that I`m finally away from Romania. Fuckin` piss ass country, dude.People are narrow minded there, nah mean? Anyways, cheerios, mon frere! ahaha nice ok just hanging on here I know how it is! Have a nice run, man! It worries me that one of the boys is working 150 miles from home. He's in good shape, well armed and well trained so I think he could get home even after an EMP attack. But that's a long way to walk with a lot of bad people between him and me. I would rest a lot easier if all my boys were close to home. Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. I would live in a BOX and eat bark before my son set one foot in a public school. LOL I hear ya. We have a pretty good school here, but homeschooling is a better choice, at least for my boys. There are no good public schools. If you knew the history of the public school system, who's idea it was and why it was created, you wouldn't say that. Educate me on that, Im curious. Idk if the Internet will give me valid results but I'll check. Start with Bertrand Russel and dive down the rabbit hole. \ What the bells between classes are for. Who designed the system and why. Its all in your mind that something bad is going to happen so you dont want to be far from the ones you love cause it may strike at any time but everything is fine its only people on glp that feel like this, ask the same question on another forum and not only will thay answer differently they'll wonder why you're asking such a morbid question in the first place! Bottom line, get out more, live your life, stop worrying and most of all STOP WAITING FOR SOMETHING BAD TO HAPPEN! |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 16213727 United States 12/13/2012 04:56 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yes....... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 4545733 The reason is that I live on a tiny fixed SS income that disappears completely every single month before the next one arrives. I've cut back on absolutely everything that I can and extremely thoughtful about every item I buy, including food. I'm so grateful to be able to hold on to my paid for car, but my concern is that if anything went wrong while out driving I wouldn't have the funds to take care of it, or to even get myself home again. It's pure stress to live this way and I hope no one else ever has to accept this situation. But I know that there are many, many people just like me......barely surviving. Believe it or not, I can go for two months sometimes on one tank of gasoline .....very small tank.....because I don't go far and certainly don't take leisurely Sunday drives. Barely surviving is NOT living by the way. It's sad for me to see so many suffering from lack of funds. I never thought I would be in this situation .... ever. Just goes to show.......you never know what's around the corner. I'm one of the many that you describe. Your life sounds just like mine. My truck is paid for- 96 Dodge Dakota 176K miles, its been a good dependable truck for 16 yrs. but, now slowly having problems. What sucks more is f-in paying more for the ins. per year to drive it than my truck is f-in worth...I live in MI a no fault, pay for those who are uninsured state...(I'm considering going without ins.)this is why >>> I am disabled and only drive 10-12 mi a month. Everything I need is within 2to3 mi of my home. Tho my disability funds just pay my monthly bills - I don't see myself as barely surviving (even tho I kind of am). I live in a small town in the country that I enjoy very much and it doesn't cost me a cent to enjoy it. I get movies from the libary 3 blocks away...don't have to rent them. I very much enjoy the nature that surrounds me. I live close to State land and nature comes to me, I enjoy seeing the wildlife that feed off my garden -even tho it pisses me off, they feed when I don't see them. If they come to feed when I could see them enjoy my flower gardens-I would love it. I never had cable TV (I have an atenna)I couldn't justify the cost - stupid spending/waste of money I have always had 'dial-up' internet.$25./ mo (I've learned to be patient, with dial-up you have to.) Its not stressful if you don't allow it to be....don't forget that there are many more people out there who have even less than you. Be grateful that you can survive on what you have.... |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 12432310 United States 12/13/2012 04:59 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It's not so much paranoia, it's more I cannot emotionally or bio-physically handle the masses of people on the roads, at the airports, at the stores - anywhere. Literally have to come home and recharge my batteries for days after social interaction of any venue. Another one here who only ventures forth under the blanket of darkness. Strange perhaps - but I more attribute this to hyper-awareness of the upcoming world-wide traumatic events. We've definitely moved into a different frequency zone. Or, in Star Wars language, we're feeling a disturbance in the force. Thus, instinct tells many of us to nest, gather the family, stay home and prepare. |

Alexander User ID: 15635858 United States 12/13/2012 05:07 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This year we decided to op out of a commercial Christmas. Enough is enough. All the nieces and nephews just got $10 in an individual card and everyone else gets cookies which were mailed out last week. Art supplies for our daughter. Nothing went on a credit card - meaning no debt. This year it is just simplify, simplify, simplify. It's actually peaceful around here for a change and the past stress of this season is nada. The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is.
