WHAT IS A NATURAL GAS CLOUD?



A shelter-in-place has been lifted at two Danville schools after reports of a natural gas odor.

San Ramon Valley Fire District officials confirm that Baldwin Elementary and Wood Middle School, both on Brookside Drive are safe following an investigation of a possible natural gas leak.

There are no reports of fire or injuries, fire officials said.

KRON 4 News UPDATE: PG&E is telling the district that it is not a gas leak as originally thought but actually a Natural Gas Cloud that passed through the area.

When the gas was smelled two schools (John F. Baldwin Elementary School and Charlotte Wood Middle School) were put on lockdown and initiated a shelter in place.

PG&E and the San Ramon Valley Fire Department just told the school district in the last 10 minutes that the cloud is dissipating and the all clear has been given (Got word of lifted shelter in place around 11:20am)

The Fire Department and PG&E are trying to determine where the cloud came from.
