REPORT COPYRIGHT VIOLATION IN REPLY
Message Subject CAN BLIND PEOPLE SEE IN THEIR DREAMS??
Poster Handle Anonymous Coward
Post Content
Since blind people have no concept of vision, they cannot see like we who are familiar with vision see. Vision is a form of energy transduced by the visual system and translated into adaptable cognitions of 3 dimensional space by the neurons that have developed for that purpose. Somebody without vision, has no concept or ability to translate the transduced signals being transported by the visual system, because they have no functioning visual cortex.

Hold on there poindexter. Before you go off trying to intellectualize the question, understand that it is impossible to design an experiment to test this situation with current technology (at least that I know of). Without actually being able to design an experiment, i.e., apply the Scientific Method (thank you Mr. Bacon), your conjecture is merely philosophy. In my opinion, science must progress a great deal before we can even understand what the hell a "dream" is, much less what is consciousness.

I hope my input helps OP. Who knows?
